Your Expectation Shall Never Be Cut Shot

Expectation is an expression of faith for the miraculous. Sadly there are those who don't expect anything good to happen to them or for them. They are not sure what to expect in life. say things like, 'whatever will be will be'. The bible says, *For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

The story in our opening verse has some lessons to learn. Here was a man who was lame in his feet from birth and was brought daily at the gate of the temple called beautiful but his expectation was not to get well but to ask for arms.

Lesson one, not everyone that lives in beautiful places that actually live beautiful lives. The nature of your environment doesn't automatically change your condition. It is the condition of your mind and your desire for a change that influence your environment in your favor. Remember the Bible says, this lame man was brought daily to the gate of the temple but he could not be healed by Jesus.

Don't forget that Jesus had ministered in that temple on many occasions and even healed the sick. Peter and John were able to heal him probably because they saw him as an opportunity to try out the power they have just received in the Name of Jesus, not because he expected a change in his condition but because they had compassion on him.
